Who can open an account with Frontier Pay.?

Both personal and businesses based in the UK and EU can open accounts with Frontier Pay.

How do I open a Frontier Pay Business account.?

You can apply online via our website www.frontier-pay.com and submitting the required documents. The process is self explanatory and most personal and business accounts are activated within 48 hours (Ts & Cs may apply).

How do I open a Frontier Pay Personal account.?

Visit our website www.frontier-pay.com Personal Account section to apply. You'll need to verify your identity, and your account will typically be active within 24–48 hours.

Is Frontier Pay a bank.?

No. Frontier Pay is not a Bank. Frontier Pay is an Authorised EMI (Electronic Money Institution) institution, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority(FCA) in the UK. We provide bank-like service but we are not a traditional bank.

Am I eligible for a Frontier Pay Business account.?

We support a wide range of businesses. Approval is subject to industry type, jurisdiction, satisfactory due diligence and  verification.

Is Frontier Pay the right choice for my business.?

How do I sign up for a Frontier-Pay account?

To sign up, visit frontier-pay.com and click “Sign Up” on the top right. Choose between a personal or business account, then follow the on-screen registration steps

What documents or information do I need to register?

You’ll typically need:

A valid government-issued ID (passport or driver’s license).
Proof of address (utility bill or bank statement, dated within 3 months).
Personal information (name, email, phone, date of birth).

For business accounts, information may vary depending on the type of your industry. You will be guided by our dedicated onboarding team for the required documents and assist with the onboarding process.

How long does it take to open a Frontier-Pay account?

Frontier-Pay aims to open your account within 48 hours of completing the registration and identity verification process. In some cases, it may take longer if additional checks are required.

What types of accounts can I open (personal, business, etc.).?

Frontier-Pay offers:
Personal accounts – for individuals to manage everyday finances.
Business accounts – tailored for companies, freelancers, and sole traders. Each account type has different features and requirements

Are there any setup fees or minimum balance requirements.?

Our fees are not one size fits all. It varies and depends on the type of your business industry. We typically charge an onboarding and a monthly fee for businesses. There is no onboarding fee for personal accounts. For more information on fees please contact us directly.    

Do I need to be a resident of a specific country to open an account?

You have to be residence in the UK or EU to open account with us.

How do I make a payment from my Frontier Pay account.?

All outgoing payments can be made via our sophisticated online payment Portal. Our online Portal can be accessed via Web or mobile App. Simply go to the “Payments” or “Transfers” section, enter the recipient details, amount, and currency, then confirm the transaction.

What payment methods are supported by Frontier Pay?

Frontier Pay supports, domestic and international transfers. BACS, Chaps, and Faster Payments in the UK. SEPA instant and TARGET2 in the EU and international payments via SWIFT and other avilable local payment rails.  

Can I schedule recurring or future-dated payments?

Yes. Business users can schedule recurring or future-dated payments through the platform’s payment scheduling feature.

Are there transaction limits for daily or individual payments?

Yes, but these limits are dependent upon:
- Account type (personal vs business).
- Currency and jurisdiction.
All limits are subject to review and can be amended by appropriate approvals.

How long does it take for a payment to reach the recipient?

Domestic transfers are typically made same day. Internal Payments may take up to 5 working days. (Ts & Cs apply) 

Which currencies does Frontier Pay support for sending payments?

Frontier Pay has access to 120+ global currencies for International payments. You can also hold balances in multiple currencies. Please contact us for more information.

Can I send payments internationally, and what are the FX fees?

Yes, you can send international payments. FX conversion fees are applied and communicated to you in advance of booking a trade. Typically FX fees are agreed with you at the time of onboarding or at the time of booking trades. Our FX rates are  competitive and sometimes even better then the high street Banks.

Can I hold and pay from accounts in multiple currencies?

Yes. Frontier Pay allows users (especially businesses) to hold multiple sub-accounts in different currencies and pay directly from them, avoiding conversion costs.

Can I pay multiple recipients at once (bulk or batch payments)?

Yes, business account users can upload CSV files or use bulk payment options to multiple recipients instantly.

What should I do if a payment fails or is delayed?

Check for typos in the recipient detail or it could be due to insufficient funds in the account. If the problem persist, contact Frontier Pay support for resolution and transaction tracking.

How are payments secured against fraud?

Frontier Pay uses:
-Two-factor authentication (2FA)
-End-to-end encryption
-Account monitoring for unusual activity
-User permissions for staff roles

Do I get notifications for successful or failed payments?

Yes. You’ll receive email or dashboard alerts for payment confirmations, failures, or delays

How do I order an expense card for myself or my team?

You can order expense cards through your Frontier Pay business dashboard. Simply go to the “Cards” section, select “Order New Card”, choose either a physical or virtual format, and assign it to a user or department.

What types of cards are available (physical or virtual)?

Frontier Pay offers both virtual and physical expense cards. Virtual cards are issued instantly and can be used online, while physical cards are mailed to the registered user.

How do I activate a new expense card?

Card activation is done through your account dashboard. You’ll be prompted to enter the last 4 digits of the card, expiration date, and CVV to activate.

Can I assign a card to a specific team member, project, or department?

Yes. During setup, you can assign each card to a specific team member or label it for a department/project for internal tracking.

Is there a limit to how many expense cards I can issue?

Most business plans allow for unlimited cards, though some pricing tiers may limit the number of active users or physical card orders per month.

How do I set daily, weekly, or monthly spending limits on each card?

You can define spending limits per card within the dashboard by navigating to Card Settings > Limits, where you can assign rules by amount or frequency.

Are cards usable internationally, and what are the FX or ATM fees?

Yes. Expense cards are enabled for international use. For further information please speak to your account Manager.

What happens if a card tries to process a transaction with insufficient funds?

The transaction will be declined unless your settings allow overdraft or are linked to a pooled balance. Virtual cards are usually prepaid, so overspending isn't possible.

Can I link each card to a specific currency wallet or sub-account?

Yes you can link each card to a specific currency wallet or sub-account.

What should I do if a card is lost, stolen, or compromised?

Immediately freeze or block the card via your dashboard and issue a replacement. You can also report it to Frontier Pay support for fraud investigation.

Are cards protected by fraud monitoring or insurance?

Yes. Cards come with automated fraud detection, unusual activity alerts, and may include coverage depending on your plan or issuing partner.

Does Frontier Pay support full card issuing (with my own branding)?

Yes. Through BIN sponsorship, Frontier Pay allows businesses to launch white-labeled card programs with their branding and control

Can I access BIN sponsorship through Frontier Pay to issue cards under my brand?
